THE BRANDLa Gea was born from the sun, salt, and sea. With Brazilian flair and Italian style, the sunny couture brand pioneers sophisticated reinventions of beachwear possibilities. After more than a decade living and working with high fashion in Italy, Sergipe-born creative director Iran Costa returns to his roots and consolidates his own brand.
Beyond beachwear, he celebrates the powerful femininity of Mother Earth by transforming clothes into romantic visual poetry for women who are always in search of the sun. Between original prints and embroidery, the nostalgic dialogues with the contemporary, while Brazilian craftsmanship meets European luxury, resulting in pieces that excite and transition gracefully between urban lifestyle and seaside moments.La Gea's name carries history and meaning in homage to the goddess Gaia, one of the greatest divine entities in Greek mythology, who personifies the Earth as a creative and maternal force. For this reason, floral lace patterns and natural fiber fabrics such as silk, linen, and cotton are the pillars of the collections, bringing the power of nature that coexists on our planet closer to the body.
With only four years in the market, La Gea is present in 19 states in Brazil and in Dubai, becoming indispensable in the closet of those who make vacations a routine. In São Paulo, the flagship store located in Pinheiros and Casa La Gea, a showroom in Jardins, combine refinement and coziness, inviting women to discover the summer that comes from within and find beauty in timeless details. In October 2024, the brand opened its second store in Shopping Cidade Jardim, one of the most renowned malls in the capital, presenting the sunny couture mood in every detail of the new space.
THE FOUNDER
With an established career in Italy as the creator and style director of the beachwear line for a renowned international luxury brand, Brazilian Iran Costa returns to Brazil, his country of origin, to found his own brand: La Gea. After years of experience in the luxury market, Iran acquired in-depth knowledge that goes beyond product creation, also encompassing the construction of a desire for the resort wear lifestyle, connecting with consumer behavior and anticipating trends.
At the helm of La Gea, Iran Costa brings his creative vision to build a brand that reflects his career.
He played an important role in giving visibility to the beachwear line and expanding it globally, establishing a presence in strategic points of sale, such as Rinascente (Milan), Harrod's (London), and Bergdorf Goodman (USA), always focusing on the brand's positioning and the quality of each piece.
Years of expertise have given Iran a vast knowledge of the luxury market, from the care taken with each product to, especially, lifestyle, behavior, and the anticipation of trends. The designer and founder of La Gea was responsible for giving visibility to the beachwear line and consolidating it in the four corners of the world, always in locations known for their positioning and quality, such as Rinascente (Milan), Harrod’s (London), and Bergdorf Goodman (USA).
